On June 11, the Ukraine Recovery Conference was launched in Berlin with the participation of President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy and Chancellor of Germany Olaf Scholz.

According to Volodymyr Zelenskyy, this forum brought together governments, ten of which are represented at the level of prime ministers, as well as companies and organizations to help Ukraine. The President of Ukraine emphasized that in the face of Russian air terror, urgent solutions for the Ukrainian energy sector would be a top priority.

The two-day event is attended by over 2,000 politicians, diplomats, businessmen, philanthropists and civic activists from different countries. Representatives of the German branch of the Ukraine Reconstruction Fund have also joined the discussion of topical issues of Ukraine’s reconstruction.

The panel discussions cover a wide range of issues covering various areas. The key topic is energy: current challenges and prospects for development, strategies to reduce dependence on traditional energy resources, and the introduction of renewable energy sources.

“Equally important are the issues of promoting economic growth and social stability, investing in education and professional development, preserving cultural heritage, and developing mental health support programs. These are the issues to which our Foundation pays special attention in its daily activities,” said Victoria Korsunova, Director of the URF Kyiv office.

The organizers of the event also emphasized the importance of engaging civil society and enhancing its role in rebuilding Ukraine.

This is the third such conference since Russia’s full-scale invasion of Ukraine. The previous conferences were held in Lugano (Switzerland) and London. URC 2025 is scheduled to be held in Italy.
