U.S. Ambassador to Ukraine Bridget Brink visited Poltava region. During her visit, she visited the city of Lubny, which has established sister city relations with the city of Ann Arbor, Michigan, Ms. Brink’s home state.
“I look forward to seeing the results of your cooperation, which will strengthen the ties between the United States and Ukraine,” said Ambassador Brink.
As part of her visit, she also visited a school in Bohdanivka, one of the 3,000 destroyed by Russia since its full-scale invasion of Ukraine.
“I am proud that through USAID we are supporting Ukraine’s children and their right to a future of their own choosing,” said Brigitte Brink.
The Ambassador also met with representatives of civil society and independent media to hear their perspectives on the war and post-war reconstruction of the country, as well as to learn about their efforts to strengthen Ukraine’s democracy by supporting freedom of the press and independent judiciary.
