The Ukraine Reconstruction Fund (URF) expresses its sincere gratitude to the United States of America for its significant assistance in restoring the Ukrainian energy system. As part of this initiative, the U.S. has provided 18 high-voltage autotransformers to Ukraine to restore the power grid after the Russian attacks.

U.S. Ambassador to Ukraine Bridget Brink noted that such actions will help preserve Ukraine’s power grid despite Russia’s attacks and provide electricity to 38 million Ukrainians. Some of the equipment is already in operation at Ukrenergo’s facilities, providing electricity to the homes of millions of Ukrainians.

Pavlo Kostyuk, founder of the Ukraine Reconstruction Fund, emphasized the importance of this assistance: “We highly appreciate the support of our international partners in restoring Ukraine’s energy infrastructure. Replacing the equipment damaged by missiles and drones with new ones is the most important step after air defense to ensure Ukraine’s energy security.”

These new autotransformers are part of a large joint project between USAID and NPC Ukrenergo to restore Ukrainian energy facilities after Russian attacks. Through this project, Ukraine continues to rebuild its power system, ensuring a stable energy supply for its citizens.

Pavlo Kostyuk also added: “This assistance not only strengthens our energy infrastructure, but also demonstrates the solidarity and support of the international community in our struggle for independence and sovereignty. We are confident that thanks to such initiatives we will be able to rebuild our country faster and ensure decent living conditions for all Ukrainians.”

The Ukraine Reconstruction Fund continues its mission to support and restore Ukraine’s critical and social infrastructure for a sustainable future for our country.
