Iryna Leshchynska: We know what to do when to do it, and how to be maximally efficient

Since February 24th, 2022, there is no settlement left unimpacted by the war. Some were under occupation and were destroyed, some have damaged infrastructure, and others accommodate internally displaced people.

People from all over the country whose lives were spoiled by the war, turn to the pages of the Ukrainian Reconstruction Fund. We can not say to the families who were left without a roof, that they need to wait till the end of war actions. It would be unfair to them and would cancel the very idea of the Fund’s existence.

Thus, moving forward continues.

During the summer, Fund signed more than a dozen of partnership memorandums with the cities that need attention the most. These memorandums are not just papers. These are the documents with seals. Behind each of them lies the future fate of thousands of people.

We install alternative heating systems in Kremehchuk and Hlobyne to reduce their dependence on gas. We help with the reconstruction of kindergartens in Irpin and Makariv. We are engaged in projects of temporary shelters for displaced people in Poltavska oblast, Zakarpattia, and Cherkaska oblast.

Our team consists of people with significant knowledge and experience: scientists, builders, economists, crisis managers, psychologists, and clergy. We went into the business with a sufficient understanding of what to do, when to do it, and how to be as efficient as possible.

I believe that together we will win the war and restore our beautiful Ukraine!
