The Ukrainian Reconstruction Fund will hold a series of charity events in the USA to support children of Ukraine who became victims of the war. The final format of events is being discussed, but there are already agreements with partners in the United States.
The other day, the Chair of the Fund Pavlo Kostiuk held a meeting with the Mayor of Bayonne (New Jersey) Jimmy Davis, at which they decided to jointly organize a charity evening on May 18, 2023.
– Paul sends dozens of containers with humanitarian aid to our country. Jimmy welcomed us hospitably in his city and was friendly with what the Fund offers. These are very open people who sincerely want to help Ukraine, – Pavlo Kostiuk emphasized.
Note that during the full-scale war in Ukraine, more than 500 children were killed and more than a thousand were injured. This is the latest data from UNICEF. Thousands of young Ukrainians, together with their families, lost their homes, normal income, and often access to food and water. Many children have mental health disorders due to the war, which prevents them from living fulfilling lives.
– These are the problems that the URF wants to draw attention to, and plans to participate in solving them, – says the head of the URF Pavlo Kostiuk.
