At the beginning of September, representatives of the Ukrainian Reconstruction Fund spent several days in Ivano-Frankivsk. The schedule of the working trip included a meeting with Ivano-Frankivsk Metropolitan of the Ukrainian Greek Catholic Church Volodymyr Viityshyn.

– We had a very warm and productive conversation, during which we exchanged opinions and discussed directions of future cooperation, – noted the Chair of the Ukrainian Reconstruction Fund Iryna Leshchynska.

According to Bishop Volodymyr, the Ivano-Frankivsk Archeparchy of the Ukrainian Greek Catholic Church has been able to house more than two thousand displaced people.

– These are primarily mothers with children from different regions of Ukraine, – noted the archbishop. – They found a haven with us. With God’s help and with the help of volunteers, our parishes provide the needy with adequate accommodation and food, as well as provide medical assistance, educational services, and various types of leisure.

As a sign of respect for the good deeds of the Church, Iryna Leshchynska presented the Archeparchy with an 18th-century icon of the Trinity. After that, the clergy conducted a tour of the Archeparchy Administration for the representatives of the Fund.
