In 1989, he joined the National Union of Artists of Ukraine. He graduated from the Faculty of Art and Graphics of the Ivano-Frankivsk Pedagogical Institute (1988; professor Mykola Figol).
Since then, he has been an artist-restorer of the Ivano-Frankivsk Art Museum. In 1994, he did an internship at the European Restoration Center (Venice, Italy). Since 2001, he has been a teacher at the Fine Arts Department of the Institute of Culture and Arts at the Precarpathian National University. Since 1989, he participates in international exhibitions. Solo exhibitions: Ivano-Frankivsk (1990), Kyiv (1998, 2000).
The drama of the color of the artist’s works, bordering on the catharsis of tragedy, is combined with restrained and passionate shades and emotional chords. The author does not offer the viewer the completeness of the image, but instead invites for associative co-creation, sometimes limiting himself only to the direction, the theme, relying on the first impression.
Interpreted associativity, coloristic decorativeness, emotional manner of performance, which generates plastic effects of various textures – everything is subordinated to the creation of abstracted, stylized forms and their symbolic and allegorical interpretation.
