The next participant of the campaign “Ukraine: from war to peace” is Andriy Shabunin (1959). Works in the field of painting and graphics.
Andriy Shabunin graduated from Kharkiv art and industrial institute in 1982. In 1989, joined the National Union of Artists of Ukraine. Has been participating in international, national, and regional art exhibitions from 1988 to 2017.
He also had personal exhibitions: “Taller Galeri Fort”, ADOGI (Barcelona, Spain, 1991); Association Musee de I`Art Contemporain, Chamalieres (ClermontFerrand, France, 1994); Union of Artists (Ivano-Frankivsk, Ukraine, 1996).
Andriy Shabunin received numerous awards, such as the medal of the International biennale of graphics (Lodz, Poland,1989); 2nd prize of the International Exhibition of Miniatures (Toronto, Canada, 1989); special prize of the International Graphics Triennial (Biella, Italy, 1990); honorary award of the International Portrait Triennial (Radom, Poland, 1990); prize of the Cadaguez International Exhibition of Graphic Miniatures (Barcelona, Spain, 1990); prize of the International Exhibition of Graphic Miniatures (Bristol, Great Britain, 1995); prize of the International Biennale «IBIZA-96» (Balearic Islands, Spain, 1996); medal of the International Biennale of Small Graphic Forms and Exlibris (Ostrow Wielkopolski, Poland, 1995 and 1997); three prizes of the International Exhibition of Graphic Miniatures (Norwalk, Connecticut, USA).
His works adorn the private collections in Ukraine and abroad. He was distinguished as the Honored Artist of Ukraine in 2017.
