Johan Heim — the representative of the Ukrainian Reconstruction Fund in the countries of the European Union — took part in the conference “Preparation for the future: legal and economic perspectives of sustainable reconstruction of Ukraine”.
The event took place on April 27 in Mainz (Germany). It was organized by the Rheingessen Chamber of Commerce and Industry with the support of the German Ministry of Economy and in cooperation with the German-Ukrainian Chamber of Commerce and Industry, the Eastern Committee of the German Economy, the German-Ukrainian Society of Business and Science, and the German-Ukrainian Association of Lawyers.
The conference gathered more than 80 participants: lawyers, economists, investors, and CEOs of German and Ukrainian companies. It also attracted the attention of the Consul General of Ukraine in Frankfurt, Vadym Kostyuk.
The speakers assessed the current economic situation in Europe given the war unleashed by Russia and discussed ways to ensure the sustainable recovery of Ukraine. The event allowed experts to exchange knowledge and experience and establish contacts with each other.
— As a result, I can state that in the southwest of Germany, they are closely following the events in Ukraine and are supporting it, — noted Johan Heim. — In addition, local companies are interested in restoring the damaged infrastructure.
