During his visit to the United States, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy met with representatives of the Ukrainian diaspora. The main topic of discussion was Ukraine’s strategic goals, its prospects in NATO, and the importance of support from Ukrainians abroad.
“The Ukrainian American community is thousands of hearts that beat together with our country. Your help and support for our soldiers and people are extremely important for Ukraine now,” Zelenskyy emphasized, thanking the community in the United States for its activity.
Pavlo Kostyuk, the founder of the URF, who is participating in the organization of the visit, noted the special role of the Ukrainian community in promoting the interests of our country in the international arena.
“The diaspora is ambassadors abroad. Each of our voices of support, each initiative aimed at helping Ukraine is of great importance,” Mr. Kostyuk emphasized.
The President also shared his impressions of the visit to the Scranton Army Ammunition Plant and emphasized that Ukraine has never been so close to NATO.
“A little more determination and everything will work out,” Zelenskyy said.
Pavlo Kostyuk added that the joint efforts of Ukrainians, both in Ukraine and abroad, play a key role in bringing victory closer.
“We are working together for the sake of the future, and right now we have every chance to bring this future closer,” said the Founder of the URF.
After the meeting, the President and his wife Olena visited the exhibition “Oleksandra Ekster: The Stage is the World” at the Ukrainian Museum, where he also thanked the community for promoting Ukrainian identity and art.
Among the participants of the meeting were leaders of Ukrainian NGOs, scholars and educators united by a common goal of supporting Ukraine in its struggle for peace and independence.
The Ukraine Reconstruction Fund, for its part, will continue to actively help Ukraine and Ukrainians by promoting the development of reconstruction projects and international support for our country.
